The Victorian era is considered by many to be America’s golden age. It was evident in all aspects of national culture. The spires and stone arches of the Lake George Club are only the physical characteristics of the glorious time period of its construction. This painting, set in the 1930’s, depicts the architectural splendor of the club and pays tribute to the elegance of the Star sailboats that comprised its racing fleet at that time.
